6th August - American Express Community Football Stadium

This will mark a new chapter in the history of Brighton & Hove Albion FC (the Seagulls) as they play their first competitive fixture at the new 22,500 capacity stadium.

8 to 13 August - Pride in Brighton & Hove - City Centre/Preston Park/Seafront

Pride in Brighton & Hove promotes equality and diversity, and advances education to eliminate discrimination against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community. It raises awareness of issues by promoting and staging a series of events including Winter Pride and the annual summer festival and making grants and/or support to other charitable and voluntary organisations. Our key objective is to develop an environment in favour of LGBT equality by providing information, advice and support.

14 August - Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land - Hove Lagoon to Pier and back

"Lucy continues to work incredibly hard in Israel at our outreach projects and at the sanctuary, where we now have 148 donkeys. Our success relies on your very generous donations so thank you to all of you who kindly donate to help our vital work.

Our annual sponsored walk will be held on 14th August this year at 10am starting at Hove Lagoon to Brighton Pier and back so hopefully many more of you will take part this year." www.safehaven4donkeys.org
